We finally got some snow here - two storms, two weekends in a row. Both storms dropped about 8 inches. The first snow melted before the 2nd storm hit so it hasn't been too bad. We wanted to let the kids go out back to build a snowman, since this was our first wet snow, but the snow was so heavy that it kept breaking branches from the tree that covers the back yard. (We usually get really dry fluffy snow that doesn't pack well. Perfect for skiing but not for snowmans.) Hopefully tomorrow it will be better so Cameron can build his snowtanker and Kylie can build a snowpenguin.
We also put up our Christmas tree last weekend. The kids were VERY anxious to get it decorated. We tried to get pics of the kids after decorating. They were quite hyper so this is the best we could get.

The snow looks like lots of fun! We thought we were going to get snow early this year, but we've mostly just had cold temps. Our forcasted 3 inches of snow tomorrow has turned into rain and wind. We'll see if the weatherman got it right!
Glad to hear you got your tree up. We were thrilled to get a tree so early this year. Its so much more fun to enjoy it for a few weeks - the lights and decorations that are packed away the rest of the year!
Love you!
Julie for all of us
We are not hoping for much snow but even a bunch of rain would be nice. (Can you believe I'm saying this???) We are in a pretty severe drought.
The kids were so excited to get the tree up -- I just couldn't quite get excited about all of the work this year -- but now that it is up we love it. R&J fall asleep on the couch in front of the tree every night. (Horrible habit but fun for December!)
